Poppies in the Field
76th ANNUAL CONNECTICUT ARTISTS EXHIBITION Delighted that my painting Poppies in the Field was selected for exhibition at the beautiful Slater Museum.
Juror is Mark D. Mitchell, Holcombe T. Green Curator of American Paintings and Sculpture at Yale University . His research interests in American art extend from the colonial period to the later twentieth century, with particular depth in landscape and still-life painting.
Madison, Low Tide
This unconventional seascape struck my eyesi driving down the beach road in Madison Connecticut one winter day. The setting sun created a soft pink cast to the stark landscape and the reflection of a single tree in the still water creating a striking landscape that I couldn’t help but capture. My painting is part of the exhibit at the Clinton Town Hall on view until April 2020.
Reclining Nude
A different perspective for this nude sketch was the inspiration to create this pastel drawing.  Thank you to juror for selecting it to be part of the figurative exhibit at ALNB

The Human + Animal Bond—6 week show

Opens: Jan. 22-March 7
Receives: Jan. 10-Jan. 14 (1-6pm). No receiving Friday Jan. 15
We all bond with animals both wild and domesticated. During months of quarantine this bond for many of us kept us sane and hopeful. But even before the pandemic this bond is evident everywhere—in stories, films, books and art.  My painting titled “Welcome Home”was selected for the Human and Animal themed show.
